Ancient Greeks were said to use its branches during wedding processions, while in Celtic lore, Hawthorn was thought to heal a broken heart. In my herbal studies hawthorn was used to treat heart and blood disease.

I started painting birth flowers right after my birthday. Simple asters connecting me back to childhood, memory, and ancestory. I realized it was just another talisman or expression of how I saw myself (aka. A little Virgo baby just trying to get by 😂
