They were considered sacred flowers to the Greek and Roman gods. Greek mythology pinpoints the aster’s beginning from the tears of the goddess Astraea, and the word means "star." The aster has also been the subject of many great works of art, including those by Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, and Robert Frost used as a symbol of hope.

I started painting birth flowers right after my birthday. Simple asters connecting me back to childhood, memory, and ancestory. I realized it was just another talisman or expression of how I saw myself (aka. A little Virgo baby just trying to get by 😂

It sparked a whole collection as my gift to you. A delicate, tangible representation of how we see ourselves in the natural world to surround us in beauty, as we strive to feel a little less alone.
