a creative’s diary here..
(Or am I just justifying to myself why I havent been creating as much recently.)
Either way.
Art flows in seasons.
It must be felt and breathed.
In summertime, when I can barely stop and catch my breath, the flow comes to a halt.
I have worn fairy wings and glitter most days. There’s a lot of joy, but man does it get overwhelming.
My self care & daily exercize has become non-existent. Don’t even get me started on my creativity.
There is only so much time in a day and the default parent is always on.
I never fault myself for this though.
Because being an artist for the past 37 years around the sun, I have learned to trust my body and my creative flow.
It will always come back.
I have no doubt in my mind that new work will begin to flow soon.
The ideas are bubbling up. Pictures of paintings start to form in my mind and come to me in my dreams.
Its all there, waiting.
So if YOU have been waiting for my next body of work. THANK YOU for being paitient with a human and a mother and always cheering me on and supporting my art.
