My dad has sent me a valentines card every year for the past 37 years.  This shaped me into the kinda girl who wears pink, goes to the movies alone, buys herself flowers, and isn't afraid to be herself even if that means I'm not everyone's cup of tea.

I now have a loving partner and cuddly littles but, Valentine's Day makes me think of self love first!  Read through these mantras and check out my top 5 self care tips!

Take a Self-Care Day: Grab a coffee and wander through a book store, take a long bath, paint your nails, pick up an expensive wine, candle, or original artwork here or simply enjoy a day to relax watching your favorite movie, make it all about YOU!

Engage in Creative Expression: Whether through painting, writing love letters to your friends, or dancing, channel your emotions into creative outlets. This helps to connect with your inner self and express love through artistic forms.

Try A New Recipe: Whether it's cooking a new favorite meal or treating yourself to take-out, savor the experience of nourishing your body with care and attention.

Disconnect from Social Media: Give yourself a break from comparison. Focus on the present moment and your personal connection with yourself, rather than external validation.

Go for a walk outside: There is nothing like forest bathing or getting lost in a city of lights. Move your body and refresh your mind. Walking is how I get my best inspiration.
